Anna Palmer, founder of Refresh Collections, started her business for just this reason. Hailing from a family of collectors, Palmer?s own home is a marriage between new and old items. She carefully curates each of the sets that she offers on Refresh Collections so that the guesswork on what goes together from decade to decade is not an obstacle to a achieving the perfect look. ?I love to entertain. Palmer scours for antiques and relics online, at estate sales, in flea markets and in antique stores across the United States. Her workspace is lined with shelves holding tableware from the late 1800s through the 1980s. After shopping, Palmer gets to work to create vignettes: picnic sets, golf themed bar items, vintage bar sets, themed tablescapes ? like the blue and white dinner? and more. What is included in each vignette, the concept behind each, and any known back-story is explained on the site.
?Each vignette is one of a kind,? said Palmer. ?My goal is to take the guess work out of what goes together and eliminate the time need to put together a look for a party. Hopefully, my customers can then enjoy entertaining more if they have to pull together less.?
